The discography of Laura Pausini, an Italian pop singer, consists of ten studio albums, a compilation album released for the Hispanic market only, an international greatest hits album, a compilation album released for the Anglophone market only, three live albums and five video albums, including the live DVD Amiche per l'Abruzzo, released as part of the all-female Italian collective of the same name.

Pausini's first single, "La solitudine", was released by CGD Records in Italy in February 1993 and peaked at number one on the Italian Musica e Dischi Singles Chart.[1] The song was included in Pausini's eponymous debut album, released by CGD Records in Italy on 23 April 1993.[2] The album peaked at number 6 on the Italian Albums Chart and was later released in many other European countries, peaking at number three on the Dutch Albums Chart[3] and selling two million copies worldwide.[4]

Pausini's second album, Laura, was released in 1994 and sold more than three million copies worldwide.[5] Following the success obtained with her first two albums, in November 1994 Pausini released in Spain and Latin America a compilation album including the Spanish versions of ten hits. The album was certified diamond by the Association of Phonographic and Videographic of Spain[6] and became the best-selling album of 1994 in Spain.[7]

Starting from Le cose che vivi / Las cosas que vives (1996), all of her studio albums have been released both in Italian and Spanish, except From the Inside, Pausini's English debut album, released by Atlantic Records in the United States in 2002. From the Inside was later released in Europe and South America too, but it wasn't as successful as her previous albums, selling only 800,000 copies worldwide.[8]

Pausini's studio albums also include La mia risposta / Mi respuesta (1998), Tra te e il mare / Entre tú y mil mares (2000), the Grammy Award-winning Resta in ascolto / Escucha (2005), the cover album Io canto / Yo canto (2006), Primavera in anticipo / Primavera anticipada (2008) and Inedito / Inédito (2011).

Her first worldwide released greatest hits album, The Best of Laura Pausini: E ritorno da te / Lo mejor de Laura Pausini: Volveré junto a ti was released in 2001 and became one her biggest commercial successes, selling 700,000 copies in Italy and 800,000 copies in France.[8]

Pausini's first video album, Video Collection 1993-99, was released in 1999 as a VHS[9] including eleven music videos.[10] In November 2002, Pausini released her first live video album, Live 2001–2002 World Tour,[11] which was later followed by Live in Paris 05, recorded in March 2005 during Pausini's concerts at the Zénith de Paris, San Siro 2007, recorded in Milan on 2 June 2007, and Laura Live World Tour 09 / Laura Live Gira Mundial 09, which became her first live album to be released in Spanish too. In 2010, Pausini also released the DVD Amiche per l'Abruzzo, filmed together with several other Italian female singers on 21 July 2009, during the mega-concert organized to raise funds to support the populations of the areas hit by the 2009 L'Aquila earthquake.[12]

During her career, Pausini also recorded duets with several Italian and international artists, including Ray Charles, Michael Bublé, Juanes, Tiziano Ferro, Andrea Bocelli, Hélène Ségara, James Blunt, Kylie Minogue, Gloria Estefan, Phil Collins and Luciano Pavarotti.

Notes

^ Laura Pausini has never had any singles on the Finnish Top 20 Singles Chart, but she has charted on the Finnish Top 50 Hits (50 Hittiä) Chart that was published by the Finnish Magazine Rumba until December 2007. That chart combined singles sales with radio airplay (like Billboard Hot 100 and Dutch Top 40). Therefore the chart positions listed here are for the Finnish Top 50 Hits Chart. The Chart positions from 2008 forward are from the Official Finnish Nielsen Music Control Airplay Chart.[71]
