Excerpt
During 1990 the total number of lnternational Chemical Reference Substances distributed from the Centre were 687 and 14 sets of Melting Point Reference Substances. The substances were distributed to drug control laboratories in 27 different countries. Compared to the figures for 1989 this corresponds to a decrease of about 40 per cent. The main reason for the decrease is believed to be the introduction of charges for the substances also when delivered to governmental laboratories. The five most frequently requested substances during 1990 were in order of demand 4-Epianhydrotetracycline hydrochloride, Anhydrotetracycline hydrochloride, Dicloxacillin sodium. Oxacillin sodium and Propicillin potassium. Detailed figures for the distribution of the individual substances are given in Appendix 1.
