Laxmi Nagar (Hindi: लक्ष्मी नगर, Urdu: لکشمی نگر‎, Punjabi: ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਨਗਰ), is a widespread residential area in East Delhi, India. It is situated on Vikas Marg. Laxmi Nagar is famous for its 'mangal bazar', meaning Tuesday market, which is a roadside shopping destination for many natives. Laxmi Nagar is well known residential area for the students coming to Delhi from different states of india and even Nepal. Laxmi Nagar has a popular commercial complex near the Metro station on Vikas Marg. It is on the blue line to Anand Vihar ISBT of the Delhi Metro rail. Being the central location and focal point for east Delhi area, it has become a favourite shopping point for many people who like to come to delhi for shopping and sightseeing. Akshardham temple is 500 metres from Laxmi Nagar.
