Ksour Essef is a town and commune in the Mahdia Governorate, Tunisia. As of 2004 it had a population of 26,219.[1]


The date of the creation of the city coincide with the arrival of the Banu Hilal in 1050, after the fall of the city Salakta many capita Phoenicians, Greeks, Byzantines, Romans converted to Islam with the arrival of the Arabs.
